Posted: 28 Feb 2020 03:57 AM PST Kendall Jenner might be one of the most in-demand supermodels in the fashion industry, walking in recent runway shows for luxury fashion brands such as Burberry, Versace and Tom Ford but there's one job opportunity the 24-year-old would swap her A-list career for. In a behind-the-scenes video from her latest campaign Spring 2020 shoot with Calvin Klein Jeans and Calving Klein Underwear, the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star opened up about which celebrity she'd love to work for. 'If I had to be a personal assistant for a year, I'd pick Beyoncé,' the star revealed. 'Just 'cause I wanna know what she eats in the morning. I just wanna know what she has for breakfast.' Jenner continued, explaining that the job opportunity – which would most likely include helping organise the singer's busy work schedule, downtime with her husband Jay-Z and children Blue Ivy, Sir and Rumi, and taking memorable Instagram photos – would also give her the chance to find out what TV shows Bey watches. 'Like do you watch Bachelor in Paradise? Because if so, we should be best friends!' she joked. Anyone else have an image of Jenner and Queen Bey sitting on the couch in matching Ivy Park gear eating ice cream and shouting at the TV during the rose ceremony? On the subject of self-love, the model – who admitted her favourite body part is her legs – said there are dangers to being on social media constantly, describing it as a 'sensory overload. 'There's so much going on, so to actually sit down and force yourself – I know it can be really hard sometimes, to take a moment for yourself and not look at a screen, whether it be the TV or phone…go outside and ponder in your thoughts,' she advised. 'Sit and live there.' The star also reflected on her life in the public eye, prefacing her statement to say that she understands that she is a 'very lucky person', but that she struggles with people being so invested in her personal life. 'People think they know a lot by a photo, [from] what they hear or [from] a fake article that's written about something and they don't actually sit back and realise "I have no idea what's actually happening or what the truth is",' she said. 'I think that's probably the most frustrating thing,' she revealed, adding that she feels 'lucky' to be part of a big family. 'They all live in this world with me so they understand the things I go through or I understand the things they go through, it's pretty cool – I'm pretty blessed,' she continued, noting that she appreciates having her mother, Kris Jenner, as her inspiration. 'I was very lucky to have a businesswoman helping me to become a businesswoman and older sisters who are already businesswomen,' she said. The model also opened up about what she's learned from her past relationships which include the likes of Harry Styles and her rumoured on/off boyfriend Ben Simmons. 'So, I think I've learned so many different things from so many different relationships,' she said. 'A lot of the relationships have taught me more about myself, which is the most valuable. And like, what I want from a person or from a relationship.' In recent months, the Calabasas-raised star has regularly been spotted at events an on Instagram with her friend Fai Khadra, fuelling speculation that the pair were a romantic item. In November, the star even joked about starting a family with the musician, posting a picture on Instagram with her nephews Saint and Psalm with the caption: 'everyone in favor of Fai and I starting a family say "I"'. However, when the pair attended Hailey and Justin Bieber's south Carolina wedding in September last year, Jenner shared a disclaimer on a photograph of her and Khadra at the nuptials together with the caption: 'We don't date he's just my date.' In the new Calvin Klein campaign, Jenner joins a legion of singer-songwriters including Justin Bieber, Maluma, SZA, Lil Nas X, Euphoria star Hunter Schafer and actor Lay Zhang. The campaign shots were taken by renowned fashion photographer Mario Sorrenti to celebrate the mélange of emotion, fantasy and confidence. 'An ode to self-expression, each set captures the talent in their own exaggerated world, with stripped-back and raw elements that are inherent to the brand and drive home the DEAL WITH IT narrative,' a release about the campaign states. Beyoncé Mass Comes to Spelman College - BET Posted: 19 Feb 2020 12:00 AM PST Beyoncé and historically Black colleges and university students are coming together once again, even if unlike at Coachella the legendary singer won't actually be in attendance for this special event. The Grammy-winning singer's music will reportedly be part of a special mass service to be held at Spelman College. Rev. Yolanda M. Norton, the H. Eugene Farlough Chair of Black Church Studies at San Francisco Theological Seminary, created the services in 2018. Her work explores how Scripture treats women and it's "led to the oppression of women of color," according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. In March, the first "Beyoncé Mass" will be held in Atlanta. And while the Grammy-winning singer is not slated to be on campus, her award-winning music will be the soundtrack for the service. "The first question I get when we talk about this worship service is are you worshipping Beyoncé'?" Neichelle Guidry, dean of Sisters Chapel, the college's religious and spiritual center, said in an interview with the AJC. "It is a clear and unequivocal 'no' to that question." The worship service at Spelman will reportedly be performed by a choir, including singers and musicians who travel with the performance and local students to back them up. The worship service, which will reportedly include prayer, preaching and communion through Beyonce's musical catalog, will be held at 7 p.m. on March 2 at Sisters Chapel. Admission is free as long as attendees register beforehand. "It's a Christian liturgical experience that is a womanist experience," Guidry told the AJC. "It centralizes the voices, perspectives and living experiences of Black women." |
Vanessa Bryant Shares Old Footage Of Family Time With Kobe And Gianna - News One Posted: 28 Feb 2020 08:17 AM PST As Vanessa Bryant grieves the death of her husband Kobe Bryant and daughter Gianna Bryant, she continues to share heartwarming posts on her social media. Recently, she shared footage from a 2015 documentary called "Kobe Bryant's Muse". The footage seems to be from the end of the movie, considering credits are playing over the images. The emotional clip shows Kobe playing around his home with Vanessa and a younger Gianna. Even the family dog receives some love. "Missing you both so much," Vanessa captioned the post. Vanessa also listed the lyrics to Beyoncé's song "XO" underneath her caption while the song plays in the video footage. Beyoncé performed "XO" at Kobe and Gianna's public memorial on Monday at the Staples Center. She told the crowd, "I'm here because I love Kobe and this was one of his favorite songs." Vanessa also took to the stage at the memorial to give an emotional eulogy for her late husband and daughter. During the eulogy, Vanessa told heartwarming stories about her daughter, who was an aspiring basketball player with dreams of making it to the WNBA. She also talked about Kobe, whom she described as her "soulmate" and "the MVP of girl dads, or MVD." Kobe and Gianna died in a helicopter crash on January 26, along with seven other people. Kobe left behind three other daughters — Natalia, 17, Bianka, 3, and Capri, 8 months. "God knew they couldn't be on this earth without each other. He had to bring them home to have them together," Vanessa said of Kobe and Gianna during her eulogy. She then told her late husband, "Babe, you take care of our Gigi. And I got Nani, B.B. and Koko. We're still the best team. May you both rest in peace and have fun in Heaven until we meet again one day. We love you both and miss you. Forever and always, Mommy." Since the memorial, Vanessa also shared a tattoo that her sister-in-law, Sharia Washington, received. It shows a snake in the shape of an infinity symbol, with the numbers 2 and 24, seemingly representing Gianna and Kobe's basketball jersey numbers. Vanessa has also shared the Mamba on Three Fund after her loved ones' deaths to help the families of the other victims in the helicopter crash.
