Review: Freeman Beautiful Face Blueberry and Champagne Clarifying Peel off Face mask

This was the first peel off face mask that I ever got for myself, when I was in New York. I remember seeing one of my cousins using this mask to get rid of all the left over Holi colors from her skin. I was quite astonished to see the results, when she peeled the mask off her face as the mask had all these red and green spots in it that were the colors that had been uprooted from the depths of her skin, normally invisible to us. Seeing that result, I got this mask and I have been using it since a year now. Below goes the review:

My experience with the face mask:

During my initial usage of this product, I had some difficulty getting used to peel off masks. Though it is super fun to remove the dried mask from the nose, chin and around the forehead, it used to hurt me a lot along the jaw lines because of the tiny facial hair I have there. However, over the time I have learnt to not play against the nature and just wash the mask off that tiny-hair zone. I really like this peel off mask as it does work really well in removing the dirt and any pore blockages effectively from my skin, making it breathe deeply.

I use the mask once in two weeks and I always notice the change in color of the mask from transparent blue to dirty grey while it sucks the dirt out of my skin. Earlier I thought it just gets oxidized or reacts to the air and turns into that color, but in order to experiment this a few days back I applied this mask twice within a span of 3-4 days and I could see that the second application didn't bring the same grey color to the mask but just a bit off-white-bluish shade. Apart from that, I've always experienced gentle brightening and softening of my skin every time I use this mask.
With that experience since 1 year now, let us see some positive and negative points that I have to say about this mask:

Pros:

1) The face mask comes with nice tube packaging with a flip open cap to ooze out the product, making it easy to work with.

2) The mask is a gel based mask and is light bluish in color. The consistency of this mask is quite thick and I use a face pack brush to apply it well and evenly all over my face, nose, forehead and chin, avoiding the under eye areas.

3) The mask takes just 10-15 minutes to dry and then I peel it off. It makes quite a thick layer on the skin and hence can easily be taken off, but it all depends on the amount you’ve applied.

4) It does clear my skin of all settled dirt and opens all blocked pores as my skin feels really cleansed, smooth and glowy after I've applied it every time. Also, the results are quite long lasting as I usually apply it once every two weeks and somehow that has worked well for my oily-combination skin in Bangalore City’s pollution.

5) It never broke me out, never made my skin dry and didn’t give me any allergic reactions.

6) Price for the quantity you get makes it pretty affordable.

Cons:

1) Though the mask becomes quite thick after drying, I find it difficult to take off along my jaw line where I have some facial hair. I don't know how to make this mask work there as it really pains whenever I try to peel it off. I usually end up washing these areas.

2) Availability: I bought it from New York, but don't know if it is available in India or not.

3) It contains parabens.

Overall verdict: I really find this peel off mask quite good for my oily combination skin. It does give a nice cleansed and refreshing feeling to my skin. Also it never made my skin dry or itchy after application. I find the quantity to be quite good for the price you pay, so it can be a good buy!
