I must have repeated this line over and over in the past month, but as we are getting well into Spring I put aside all my dark red, burgundy and black nail polishes for brighter colors that, while I'm typing on my computer in an office, remind me that there is nice weather outside.
Rimmel 60 Seconds nail polishes in 430 Coralicious, the perfect coral color to pair with anything you want really and it is the one I absolutely use the most. From the same line I also love the color 440 Sun Downer which is a true orange. On the lighter side, I recently got the MUA MakeUp Academy 1€ nail polish in Sun Peach to see if I could jump on the "Pastel colors" trend wagon of this Spring. I like the color but would definitely pair it with a more intense accent nail, just to be very "me". I think it will look very cool when I'm more tanned in summer. Moving to the pinks in the bunch, I wouldn't be me if I went for pastels, but I like me some bright fuchsias such as the Rimmel 60 Second in 260 Funtime Fuchsia and the MUA Cherry Blossom, both great intense colors and opaque formulations.
KIKO 336 and Essie Bouncer, it's me which are both vivid blues. Essie's one is from the 2013 Neon collection and it dried matte on me; unfortunately it took 3 coats to look decent and still not completely opaque. I will try it on top of a white base coat, as suggested by Essie and hopefully it will look better. KIKO nail polishes are a staple, good quality for low price and I cannot say enough good things about them.
Second runner up to Coralicious is another one from Rimmel in the shade 825 Sky High. It is a beautiful teal color that I cannot stop wearing, paired with a bit of golden glitter on my ring fingers and a layered double eyeliner of the same color. Definitely a must have for me. Another attempt to pastels is this baby light blue from HEMA, number 838. I definitely like this one and for the price the formulation is great! I will definitely give HEMA nail polishes a closer look!
Last but not least on my pinkie I swatched MUA Bullet nail polish, a dark grey that I want to use for all those official occasions in which mute, neutral colors are more in order.
Here was the round up of the bunch. As you can tell I am a big fan of the Rimmel 60 Seconds polishes both for the formula, the wide brush and the price which is less that half of the Essie polishes.
I would like to add to my spring collection a nude color, but I am still looking for one that catches my attention. Any suggestions? What are your favorite colors for this season?
