Nars Virtual Domination Palette

This Christmas i bought a lot of my own presents from my family because now i am of the age where i don't really get excited about presents and i hate surprises so it works out just right for me. This means that this year i got a lot of beauty related products and the Nars Virtual Domination palette was one of them. I bought this quite a while ago when i spent the day in Bath and they have a Space NK there which this palette was exclusive to.

As you can see in the picture the packaging is absolutely beautiful and is unique for something like this. Last year Nars released the Guy Bordin palette which i wanted but never managed to get my hands on so i knew the minute i heard about this palette that i needed to buy it. I prefer the packaging of this palette because it is plastic whereas the normal Nars palette has a sort of velvetness to it which means it gets dirty very quickly and starts to look untidy whereas this one can be cleaned very easily. When i bought this palette, i also bought a MAC brush to use with it and it is the 168 Contour Brush which i have been using since i bought it and i absolutely love this brush, it is so soft and because it is white you can tell when it is dirty but i will talk about this more in depth in a post soon. 

Now lets get on to what is important and that is the shades in the palette, there is one highlighter shade, 3 blushers and one massive bronzer. The highlight is called Miss Liberty and it is lovely but it has a lot of glitter in it, it adds a luminous effect to the top of your cheeks but also bits of glitter. I would prefer it without this glitter in it but still it is lovely. I think i would only use this highlighter for going out or on special occasions like Christmas, its not an everyday highlighter. The Blush below it is called Sex Fantasy and is a lovely pale pink which is amazing for this time of year because it gives you that look like you've been outside in the cold for hours. It is also quite light so it is good one for a red lip or a smoky eye look. The blush in the next column at the top is Deep Throat and is one of Nars' most iconic blushers, it is a deep pink with a red quality to it, you only need a little bit on the brush but it is lovely shade. The final blusher is called Final Cut and i think it is my favourite out of all of them, it is a coral shade and looks very natural on the skin. Final Cut and Sex Fantasy are both shades exclusive to this palette which is gutting because Final Cut is such a good shade to have. The bronzer is the classic Laguna Bronzer, as with the blushes you do not need a lot of this bronzer on your brush because it is highly pigmented but i still like it. Laguna is slightly too orangey for me but i will still use it and i have been enjoying using it.

I have never been that keen on buying blush, i don't know why but it never really appeals to me so i buy one and use it until it runs out but this palette gives me options and allows me to try Nars blsuhers, not only have i never used their blushes but i have never had any of their products before so this is very exciting for me. Overall i really love this palette and i am so glad that i have it because it is perfect for travelling as it is quite compact. If you can still get your hands on it, i recommend this palette but if not i would definitely try one of the blushes because they truly are really good.
